The Institute of Hawaiian Music at the University of Hawaii Maui College mentors and trains aspiring musicians ages 17 to 70-plus in performing, singing, playing instruments, composition, repertoire development, recording techniques and marketing of Hawaiian music. Proceeds from Saturday's event will provide scholarships to students and support the educational activities of the institute.

This year's theme is "Aloha 'Ia No 'O Maui" (Maui is truly beloved). Hawaiian food, arts, crafts and other merchandise will be available for purchase, and there will be activities for the keiki.

Tickets are available at the Bailey House Museum and Native Intelligence in Wailuku, Bounty Music in Kahului, Lahaina Music, and Awakening in Paradise in Kihei.
