Kory Kukahiko to perform at Hawaiian Music Series

By Staff | Jan 23, 2014

In this month’s free Hawaiian Music Series concert, Kory Kukahiko’s nahenahe (sweet voice) will be featured in a repertoire of favorite songs from Hawaii.

LAHAINA – Great live Hawaiian music continues on Front Street, as the Hawaiian Music Series features Lahaina’s own Kory Kukahiko on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Baldwin Home lawn in Lahaina.

Born and raised in Lahaina, Kukahiko enjoys playing mellow, “feel good” music. His appreciation for Hawaiian music began at a very early age while listening to his father, Earle Kukahiko, and has since flourished into a passion.

Relax under the stars and enjoy the free concert brought to you by Lahaina Restoration Foundation. The combination of live Hawaiian music and Lahaina’s award-winning restaurants and vibrant shops creates a great setting for a perfect evening out on the town.

Chairs are limited; blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome. The Baldwin Home Museum is located in the heart of Lahaina on the corner of Front and Dickenson streets.

This concert is part of the foundation’s ongoing Hawaiian Music Series program supported by the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the county Office of Economic Development. For more information, call the Lahaina Restoration Foundation office at 661-3262.
