Celebrate Waiola Church’s birthday at Lahaina’s Second Friday Town Party

LAHAINA - Campbell Park will come to life with ono grinds, entertainment, baked goods and desserts from 5:30 to 9 p.m. during Lahaina's Second Friday Town Party on Sept. 13.

LahainaTown Action Committee invites you to share in the fun while enjoying a live music concert with a cause.

Waiola Church; Boys & Girls Club of Maui, Lahaina Club; Na Ki'a i O Waine'e; and the Hawaiian Civic Club are among the non-profits that benefit from the monthly event.

Maui Jam (pictured), Uncle Richard Ho‘opi‘i and Heli & Friends will perform in Campbell Park on Friday evening.

This month, enjoy music with Maui Jam, food by 'Ohana Kukahiko, and entertainment by Uncle Richard Ho'opi'i and Heli & Friends.

Ron Williams will discuss the history of Waiola Church, Francine Dudoit will teach La'au Lapa'au, and Henry Kaholokula will discuss 'Ohe kapala.

Na Kia'i o Waine'e will have lei and crafts, and LahainaTown Action Committee will run a silent auction.

Live music on Second Friday includes a Hawaiian Story and Bagpiper presentation at 6 p.m., followed by live entertainment on the rooftop from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fleetwood's on Front St.; Hawaiian entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Pioneer Inn; Uncle Lui from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Wharf Cinema Center stage; Willie K at Kimo's from 9 to 11 p.m. (pick up your stamped Hula Pie card at the Lahaina Visitor Center in the Old Lahaina Courthouse for free admission and a piece of the famous pie); live entertainment from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Moose McGillycuddy's Lahaina; live jazz overlooking the water from 7 to 10 p.m. at Longhi's; live music from 6 to 9 p.m. by Evan Schulman, then a Retro '80s Dance Party with Deejay Ron from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at Hard Rock Cafe; Benny Uyetake Band at Captain Jack's Island Grill from 8 to 10:30 p.m.; Johnny Ringo at Cool Cat Cafe from 7:30 to 10 p.m.; and Nacho Cardenas "El Mariachi" at Amigo's.

Popular candlelit tours of the Baldwin Home Museum will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The museum is located on the corner of Front and Dickenson streets.

The $7 fee includes admission to the Wo Hing Museum at 858 Front St. Children 12 and under accompanied by a paying adult are free.
