Art classes slated at West Maui Senior Center

Jane Cambouris will provide step-by-step instruction in completing an unfinished quilt or beginning a summer quilt.

LAHAINA – Registration begins June 12 for art classes for those 55 and better offered through Kaunoa West Maui Senior Services.

“Art with Peggy Robertson” will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 23 and 30, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Learn the basic techniques of drawing, watercolor, pastel and Yupo. No experience is necessary – everyone can be an artist.

The fee of $30 is payable by July 2.

“Acrylic with Greg Guzman” will be offered on Thursday, July 11, 18 and 25, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Maybe you’ve seen Guzman’s murals on a building or delivery truck. Let him help you discover the artist within.

The class fee of $25 is payable by June 27. For more information, call 661-9432.

If you have ever wanted to try your hand at making a quilt, join the “Quilts & Quips” class at Kaunoa West Maui for those 55 and better.
