Class of 2014 to hold Junior Prom

LAHAINA – Lahainaluna High School’s Class of 2014 will hold its Junior Promenade on Saturday, April 6, in the Maui Ballroom of The Westin Maui Hotel in Kaanapali.

Their prom theme is “Happily Ever After,” with the colors of pink and white accenting their room decorations.

Reigning over the formal affair will be King Taylor-Christopher “Kiko” Kohler-Fonohema and Queen Breea Rae Yamat.

“Kiko” is the son of Patrick and Inita Fonohema of Lahaina and Brandy Hawkins of Wailuku. Queen Breea is the daughter of Ray and Mona Yamat of Kahana.

The princes and princesses of the court include Jeffrey Kaimana Ancog and Ho’olai’ikeao Cabanilla; Justin Bishop Tinao and Lithe Pokipala-Waiohu; Bronson Kaina and Lizelle Lazaro; Tyron Agbayani and Karen Galuardo; Jacob Naganuma and Maile Amine; Benjamin Adam Aquino and Madison Vasquez; Manny Gutierrez and Taylor Garde; and Clyde Piros and Taylor Trout.

The evening program that commences at 6 p.m. includes the coronation and presentation of the traditional court dance. The ceremony is open to the public with standing room only. Doors will open to the public at 5:45 p.m. Special guests with tickets will have reserved seating.

Kelsey Shultz and Galuardo serve as prom co-chairs, with Kulani Akahi serving as class advisor. Assisting with committee assignments are junior class officers led by class President Cabanilla. Student Activities Coordinator Art Fillazar is the court dance choreographer.
