KAHANA - Kahana Grill is now open for dinner and cocktails seven days a week from 5 to 10 p.m. The restaurant is located in the Kahana Gateway center at the former Roy's location.
The menu is "a culmination of world cuisine with island attitude." The service and dishes are sophisticated, yet presented in a comforting, casual environment.
Staff can guide diners through the menu, recommending small plates to share or dishes with pairings. Some house favorites include Kahana Grill Baby Back Ribs with house-made tamarillo glaze and cucumber namasu, Bowl of Shells & Lap Xuong Sausage, Kula mixed greens, gourmet pizzas from the restaurant's brick oven, sushi by Chef Gregory Tanihara and house-made desserts.
Head to Kahana Grill for a specialty cocktail at its U-shaped bar, indulge in a chef’s tasting menu along the open copper kitchen, or bring the family and dine at the handcrafted lychee ohana table in the dining room.
Kahana Grill's wines and crafted beer selection were hand-picked to complement the eclectic menu, and cocktails are created with fresh local ingredients.
The restaurant features a 33-foot Hawaiian outrigger canoe, KAHANA, positioned across the dining room ceiling and blessed by Kimokeo Kapahulehau.
Kahana Grill is a wireless "hot spot" for the neighborhood. Innovation in both service and style is visible throughout the restaurant, from wait staff using iPads and iPhones to service guests to a private event space equipped with the latest technology. Soon, nightly sunsets will be transmitted live for the enjoyment of all Kahana Grill guests.
