Lahaina Plantation Days boasts food, music and fun

LAHAINA – The fourth annual Lahaina Plantation Days is finally here with three jam-packed days of food, music and fun.

Scheduled on Oct. 18-20, the event will be held next to the historic Pioneer Mill Smokestack on Lahainaluna Road. Event hours are 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 19-20.

An ‘Ohana Movie Night kicks off the event on Thursday, Oct. 18, featuring the independent film “Picture Bride” on a giant outdoor screen. The film will be preceded by a performance by Maui Taiko. Gates open at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available to purchase.

On Friday and Saturday, the public will enjoy a beer and wine garden by Maui Brewing Company, the official beer sponsor; MauiGrown Coffee (the official coffee sponsor) tent; a Portuguese cultural tent; farmers’ market; keiki carnival games, game booths and horse rides; and historical displays and exhibits in the Plantation Life Tent.

Food booths will offer ono fare by favorite local restaurants and purveyors: 100 Wines Maui, Aloha Mixed Plate, Cool Cat/Captain Jacks, Hop Wo Store, Hula Cookies, Kimo’s, Leilani’s on the Beach, Leoda’s Kitchen & Pie Shop, Lulu’s Lahaina Surf Club & Grill, Maui Fish & Pasta, Pad Thai, Roselani Ice Cream (booth operated by Lahainaluna High School), Royal Ocean Terrace, Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar, Star Noodle, Teddy’s Bigger Burgers, The Sea House, and Tiki Terrace Restaurant.

Legendary performers will share the stage with talented Maui artists. The lineup includes the Brothers Cazimero, Nuff Sed, Da Braddahs, Na Hoa, Kory Kukahiko, Maui Taiko, Na Kupuna ‘Ohana Serenaders and Kamehameha Schools Maui-Hawaiian Ensemble.

Admission to Lahaina Plantation Days is $3 per night or $5 for a three-day pass.
