‘Hope Ball’ a party with a purpose

WAILEA – In the quest to help eradicate and fight cancer, the American Cancer Society is planning its inaugural gala, “Hope Ball: A Small World, A Big Purpose,” on Saturday, Aug. 11, at 5 p.m. at the Grand Wailea Hotel Resort and Spa.

This year’s theme stresses that cancer touches people worldwide. The ball will raise much-needed funds to save more lives and create a world with more birthdays through research, education, advocacy and services.

The evening will feature gourmet cuisine, silent and live auctions, dance tunes by Deja Vu and island music by Alika Nako’oka.
