WAILUKU – On Saturday, March 24, Ho’omau 2012, a benefit concert to support Hawaiian language immersion preschool students at Punana Leo o Maui in Wailuku, will be held at Maui Nui Botanical Gardens in Kahului from 9 a.m. to sunset.

The silver anniversary event will feature performances by the Hawaiian-speaking preschoolers of Punana Leo o Maui and Na Kula Kaiapuni.

There will also be ono food, a keiki fun zone with a special feature of Hawaiian makahiki games, impressive silent and live auctions, Hawaiian cultural practitioner demonstrations, a wide array of over 30 Hawaiian craft vendors and artisans, as well as ‘awa (kawa) tasting.

“It’s amazing to see what we’ve accomplished over the last 25 years,” said Kili Namau’u, kahu of Punana Leo o Maui.
