WAILUKU - The Advanced Teen Acting troupe from Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) will present "Snow Angel," a funny and eerie play about teen angst and friendship, at Steppingstone Playhouse in Queen Ka'ahumanu Center.

Directed by Sally Sefton, the 16-member troupe will perform the show on March 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 25, at 3 p.m.

When the quiet town of Deerpoint, Vermont is hit by the biggest blizzard in 107 years, a mysterious girl named Eva steps out of a snow bank and into a tangle of truth and lies with a group of teenagers.

Told through journal entries and interactions among the students over the course of a single day, “Snow Angel” is ultimately a tale of transformation and the power of believing in yourself.

What Eva is searching for - and who she truly is - becomes a mystery that baffles and divides the teens.

"Snow Angel" was written by David Lindsay-Abaire, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of the Tony award-winning play "Rabbit Hole." He also wrote the book and lyrics for the Broadway hit "Shrek The Musical."

Tickets are $8 for students (18 and under) and $12 for adults. For tickets, call the MAPA Box Office at 244-8760, visit or go to the customer service kiosk at Queen Ka'ahumanu Center.
