LAHAINA - Chef Sheldon Simeon of Star Noodle and Leoda's Kitchen and Pie Shop has been nominated in Food & Wine Magazine's "People's Best New Chef."

Simeon is the only nominee representing the State of Hawaii in the Northwest and Pacific Region. Food & Wine invites the dining public to vote online for "The People's Best New Chef," now in its second year.

The award - an extension of the Food & Wine Best New Chefs program - honors talented, up-and-coming innovators who have run their own kitchens for five years or fewer.
