Artists to celebrate Grammy nominations at slack key show

NAPILI – Celebrate the holidays and new Grammy nominations for Hawaii artists at George Kahumoku Jr.’s “Slack Key Show-Masters of Hawaiian Music” on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Napili Kai Beach Resort’s Pavilion at 7:30 p.m.

Albums nominated for 2012 Grammy Awards include Kahumoku’s “Wao Akua-Forest of the Gods” (Best Album Regional Roots) and Daniel Ho’s “E Kahe M?lie” (Best Album Pop Instrumental).

Catch this rare appearance with three Grammy Award winners: 2011 Best Hawaiian Music Album winners Tia Carrere and Daniel Ho, and Kahumoku, a multiple Grammy winner.

This special show will feature the contemporary Hawaiian vocals of singer and actress Carrere in her first Maui appearance, accompanied by Ho’s slack key guitar and ukulele.

Kahumoku will host the show with Da Ukulele Boyz.
