Golfer wins truck at Ali‘i Scramble

Marc Dunn hit a hole-in-one and won a 2011 Ford Ranger 4x4.

KAANAPALI – The King Kamehameha III Elementary School PTA’s first annual Ali’i Scramble Golf Tournament held at the Kaanapali Kai Course on Nov. 13 was a huge success.

The PTA exceeded its fundraising goal of $20,000 – a true testament to its 2011-12 PTA Motto of “T.E.A.M. – Together Everyone Achieves More.”

According to the PTA, during the tournament, the “unheard of happened!”

Marc Dunn of Lahaina made his first-ever hole-in-one on Hole 3 of the Kaanapali Kai Course and won a 2011 Ford Ranger 4×4 courtesy of Jim Falk’s Valley Isle Motors!

Jane Hehemann, who co-chaired the event with Toni King, was “thrilled about the outpouring of community support for the kids of King Kamehameha III. We really can’t thank everyone enough – the players, sponsors and donations to the cause are truly generous and much appreciated!”

The Ali’i Scramble was helped by generous donations and the support of its Lead Sponsors: He-Man Landscaping, People Who Clean, Kaanapali Golf Courses, Royal Lahaina Resort, Tori Richard, ProService Hawaii, Kaanapali Land Management, Expeditions Maui-Lanai Ferry, Jim Falk’s Valley Isle Motors, Cycle City Maui, Menehune Maps and Ralph and Ingrid Dinwiddie.
