Shimabukuro to play in ‘Solo Sessions’ at the MACC

KAHULUI — “Solo Sessions with Jake Shimabukuro” will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 8 in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s McCoy Studio Theater.

Enjoy an unplugged session with Shimabukuro, Hawaii’s ukulele ambassador and recipient of the 2010 Na Hoku Hanohano Award for “Favorite Entertainer of the Year.”

Shimabukuro is renowned for his lightning-fast strumming on the “big-hearted little instrument that can.”
