CHICAGO (AP) — Prosecutors have charged a man who they believe opened fire with an assault-style rifle in a crowded Chicago park, injuring 13 people including a 3-year-old boy.

Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy says Tabari Young was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery in Thursday night's shooting at Cornell Square Park on the southwest side.

McCarthy said Tuesday that three other men who were also involved in the attack faces the same charges. They are Bryon Champ, Kewane (keh-WAHN'-ee) Gatewood and Brad Jett.

The shooting injured 3-year-old Deonta (dee-AHN'-tay) Howard, who was shot in the face. Deonta is recovering from surgery.

Authorities say they believe the shooting was gang-related.
